Philip Shadbolt
Originally from Australia, Philip had a background in Fine art, Graphic Design, & Illustration before returning to his Celtic Welsh roots in 1993. His passion for painting large scale figurative canvases, drawing his inspiration from his native Australia and time spent studying in India, using hand-crafted skills & techniques that he has learnt to master over the years.
Most of his works have been created using oils and acrylics, gradualy building up the subtle layers of colour & texture to free his vision onto the canvas before him. Some of the larger works (for example Avatar and Lila) have taken several months to complete, due to the intricate levels of detail involved, and you can view a fabulous selection of his Figurative paintings on his personal website (see the Links page).
